We had a great time with Bonne Marie Burns of Chic Knits! And we're doing our first Knit Along!

We had a great time on Sunday launching the Chic Knits patterns. Bonne Marie Burns came to the shop with 5 patterns printed up. Her sweater designs are great and her design for the printed patterns outstanding. Come into the store to see some of her designs.

We are starting a knit along of the newest pattern, Ariann. We'll be doing it on-line and in the store. Post a comment and we'll link to your blog. Official launch of the Knit Along is Sunday, December 17th. We will meet every other week on Sundays, too.

Bonne Marie is one of the best sweater designers. She consistently produces great designs that are fashionable and timeless. Sweaters you knit last much longer than store bought sweaters because hand-knitting yarn is sooooo much better than the yarn used in store bought sweaters . Having a sweater for ten years is nothing, fifteen years is common, and twenty years is not unheard of. So, making sweaters that make you look hot and happening today as well as years from now is important. Bonne Marie's designs do just that.

On Sunday, December 10th, 2 - 4 pm she will be talking about design and sharing with us tips & techniques to make a sweater and finish it well. Please come join us. Your gift knitting should be winding down. Take some time for yourself.
